- At least 500ml of drinking water
- A book to read
- Tablet
- An umbrella (in case it rains or simply to avoid the sun)
- A fully charged smartphone
- A fully charged mobile device battery
- A towel
- Some snacks
- Tiger Balm (just in case)

From 7am, 26 March, onwards, those who would like to pay their respects to the late Mr Lee Kuan Yew during the lying in state may wish to note that the line to enter Parliament House begins at the Padang. The public is advised to take public transport."

1. Read the news before you leave the house.
2. Speak to the police officers stationed along the queue to find out where you should go to join the queue.
3. Dress respectfully.
4. Essentials you might want to bring: Water, Umbrella, Raincoat, Paper or portable fan, Wet tissues, Pens, Ipad / book / extra phone batteries
5. DON'T try to cut the queue.
